Hi, I’m H

I’m a South Wales based photographer specialising in relaxed weddings, events and natural moments.

Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I was always the person with a camera in hand - photographing family days out, holidays and anything that felt worth remembering. That interest eventually became a BA (Hons) in Film Production and later took me around the world working onboard cruise ships.

Over the years, I’ve photographed everything from formal evenings and busy events at sea to engagements, weddings and celebrations set against some incredible backdrops. Those experiences taught me something that still shapes how I work today; people remember how a day felt far more than they remember posed photos.

That’s why my approach is simple.

I keep things relaxed, blend into the background where I can, and focus on capturing the atmosphere, the people and the moments that happen naturally. I’m not there to take over your day, I’m there to help you enjoy it and quietly document it as it unfolds.

One of my favourite parts of photography isn’t actually the camera, it’s meeting people. Every event is different and every group brings its own energy. I genuinely enjoy getting to know people, hearing their stories and creating images that feel like them rather than something staged.

When I’m not photographing, you’ll usually find me outdoors somewhere in Wales; cycling, hiking, travelling or planning the next little adventure.

Beyond Weddings & Events

When I’m not photographing people, I’m usually somewhere outdoors with a camera close by. I’ve always loved exploring; whether that’s cycling quiet roads, hiking through forests, watching sunsets by the coast or travelling further afield. It gives me space to slow down, observe and notice the little details that are easy to miss.

A lot of my favourite photographs aren’t planned. They’re the moments in between, changing light, interesting places and genuine interactions. That’s probably why I photograph events and weddings the way I do.
